WHO ARE WE?
CEIP Portal Nou is a small school located at the end of Madrid Street, just behind the Municipal Sports Center "Es Pratet". It has 10 units, one of them preferential attention to students with specific and special needs, also called as UECCO classroom.
Our center seeks to form a type of person capable of taking initiatives and developing their own criteria, fostering a critical spirit, promoting reasoning, as well as accepting the own qualities and limitations of each student.
The school will promote the normalization of the Catalan language as our own autonomous community, and ensure the use of Catalan and Spanish as official languages.
PRINCIPLES
CO-EDUCATION
The teaching we provide to students will be developed within a framework of co-education, understood as an attempt to educate for equality, without any discrimination on the basis of sex.
ATTENTION TO DIVERSITY
At our center, we will pay particular attention to the diversity of students, in their physical and intellectual capacities, as well as in ethnic or cultural differences.
PARTICIPATION
Understanding the school as an open institution that seeks the democratic and responsible participation of parents, students and teachers.
